Stock and valuation

Stock that tells you when it is getting old.

Spectra holds every vehicle with the catalogue detail leisure buyers ask for, and flags it when it has sat too long. Test its price against the market, then decide.

What it does

One record from purchase to sale.

Stock, customer vehicles and stock history sit together, with site transfers and profit per vehicle. A configurable Stock ID also serves as the VAT margin-scheme stock-book reference.

  • Stock history and transfers between sites
  • Profit per vehicle
  • Purchase orders by source
  • Condition reports with PDI templates
  • One Stock ID everywhere
A vehicle’s profit analysis with acquisition cost, prep costs, sale price, gross profit and margin.

A catalogue that knows a layout from a floorplan.

The leisure catalogue holds make, model, range and layouts with berths, bed type, washroom, kitchen and door side. New stock picks its model and layout from the catalogue.

  • Layouts with berths and bed type
  • Kitchen, washroom and door side
  • Floorplan images
  • Owner’s manuals stored against the model

A price that has been checked against the market.

Market intelligence shows a market price with comparables, price bands, adjustments and a confidence score. It is worked out from real, de-duplicated listings. It is not an AI guess.

  • Comparables, price bands and a confidence score
  • Competitor listings and watchlists
  • Valuation history and accuracy
  • Regional multipliers

See what is ageing, then set the price yourself.

Spectra flags ageing stock at 60, 90 and 120 days by default, 30 days later for motorhomes. Test a new price against the market. Nothing changes until you change it.

  • Different defaults for motorhomes
  • Test a new price against the market
  • Ageing views in the stock report

Registration lookups, provenance and window cards.

DVLA and DVSA lookups fill in the registration details. Switch on the provenance gate and a vehicle cannot be marked for sale until a check is recorded as clear.

  • DVLA and DVSA lookups
  • A provenance gate before sale
  • OTR-led window cards
  • XML, CSV and JSON feeds
A window card in the document designer, led by the on-the-road price.

AI in Stock works from verified specs and real listings.

Content Studio writes adverts, social posts and a price rationale from verified specs, photos and market comparables. From Professional, Document Import fills empty catalogue fields from an owner’s manual.

  • Content Studio output is yours to edit and publish; it is not fact-checked by a second pass.
  • Spec extraction never overwrites a field that already has a value.
  • Photo grading for part-exchange returns a condition grade, premium features and visible damage.
  • Valuation itself is market intelligence built from listings. It does not use AI chat.

Stock depth that leisure dealers actually use.

The catalogue and the thresholds are built around how caravans and motorhomes are bought and sold.

  • Berths, bed type and door side

Stored as proper catalogue fields, so every layout records them the same way.

  • MTPLM and MRO

Read from owner’s manuals into empty fields, from Professional.

  • Motorhome ageing

Runs 30 days later than other stock by default: 90, 120 and 150 days.

  • Part-exchange quick valuation

With photo grading, then onto the quote as a deduction.

Built on Spectra core. Customers, vehicles and the books are shared by every module, and Spectra AI works across them.

Questions and answers

Can I stop a vehicle being sold before its provenance is checked?

Yes. Switch on the provenance gate and a vehicle cannot be marked for sale until a check is recorded as clear.

Where does the valuation data come from?

Real listings from across the market. Listings are de-duplicated and sold prices are inferred. Each valuation comes with price bands and a confidence score.

Is the valuation AI?

It is market intelligence: comparables, price bands, adjustments and a confidence score from real listings. It is not a chat model guessing a price.

Can it look up a registration for me?

Yes. DVLA vehicle enquiry and DVSA MOT history lookups fill in the vehicle, and results are cached for 30 days.

Will Spectra change my prices on its own?

No. Spectra flags ageing stock, and when you ask, the assistant compares it with the market and tests a new price. You decide whether to change it.

Can I publish stock to other sites?

Yes. Stock feeds go out as XML, CSV or JSON, and from Professional, listing visibility on your own storefront is set per vehicle.
